Our Team

Azam is a Partner at Nexus Point Danacap, based in Kuala Lumpur. He has over 17 years of experience in private equity, investment banking and strategic advisory covering markets across South and Southeast Asia. Prior to Nexus Point Danacap, Azam established and co-headed the Southeast Asia office for Broadgate, a global investment advisory group with presence in Europe and the Middle East. From 2015 to 2021 Azam was with Ekuinas, a mid-market private equity firm based in Malaysia, where he led and managed investments into companies in sectors such as industrials, manufacturing, healthcare distribution, and retail. Azam received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Deakin University, Australia.
